The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday forecasted moderate rainfall across the state till July 16. It said that Telangana will witness scattered rains over the state. Some areas are also likely to witness thundershowers, the IMD said. It also added that the state received moderate showers in 24-hour period between Monday and Tuesday with Bhadrachalam receiving some traces of rainfall. The rainfall activity will increase in the state only if a low-pressure area forms in the Bay of Bengal over east. Meanwhile, districts like Warangal, Khammam, Medak, Rangareddy and Nalgonda received about 1-5 cm of rainfall.
