Clinical Instructor – NursingJoin the community at our beautiful lakefrontcampus!Job Summary:Due to the success and expansion of the nursing program at CarthageCollege, we are seeking qualified Clinical Instructors in all areasof specialization. Clinical Instructors are responsible forassisting undergraduate Nursing students to successfully meet theirclinical objectives by planning, coordinating, and implementingstudent-centered, clinical instruction in the psychomotor skillslab, simulation laboratories, and affiliated clinicalorganizations, and by providing formative and summative evaluationsof the students’ performance. The Clinical Instructor is anextension of the Course Director and supports student learningthrough Socratic questioning to connect theory to practice andpromote the development of clinical judgment. Reports to theDirector of Nursing.Carthage College is currently looking for individuals who can teachclinical for adult health, children’s health, maternal-child andmental health/psychiatric nursing. Clinicals are 2 6-hour days perweek for 14 weeks. Some clinical sections are during theevening.Minimum Education and Experience: Master’s degree in NursingAt least 2 years of clinical nursing experience in anapplicable field of NursingCriminal history and background check clearanceAn unencumbered License to practice as a Registered Nurse inthe State of WisconsinProvide evidence of immunizations and CPR certificationcongruent with Department of Nursing policiesPossess thorough knowledge of health assessment, medications,treatments, diagnoses, and be able to relate these aspects ofpatient care to problem solving/critical thinking skill developmentin studentsAbility to operationalize the philosophy, mission, and valuesof the Department of Nursinglast_img
