FARM and Ruimveldt will clash in the final of the East Bank Demerara Cricket Association (EBCA) 50-over tournament, after recording victories in their respective semifinal games played last weekend at Farm.Farm whipped Sandpipers by 99 runs on Sunday, while Ruimvedlt edged Eccles by seven runs in the other semi-final game.Oslyn Batson hit a top score of 62, as Farm recovered to post 211-9 after the game was shortened to 40 overs.Oslyn BatsonHaving been reduced to 6-2, Shivram Persaud and Ricky Debydial revived the innings with a third-wicket stand of 53 before Persaud went for 38, while Debydial made 32.Farm suffered a mini collapse before Batson held the lower order together with level-headed batting.Elvis Salik and Mahendra Dhanpaul supported Batson with 36 and 19 respectively.Sandpipers were bowled out for 112 in reply. Colin Benn made 25. Batson finished with 5-20 from 7.4 overs, while A. Peerbacchus had 3-28.In the other game, Danny Narayan stroke a brisk 72 to guide Ruimveldt to 206 in 34.4 overs. Narayan struck seven fours and three sixes. He received support from Ershad Ally (33) and Daniel Paul (23).Kelvin Singh captured 3-17 and Kishan Singh 3-33.In reply Daniel Barker and Lenny Pancham added 44 for the opening stand before Pancham went for 29.Eccles then lost three quick wickets before rain intervened. Eccles were then set a revised target of 161 in 35 overs. At that point they required 63 runs from 13 overs but when Barker departed for 68, the efforts of the remaining batsmen were not enough to see their team home, as they were bowled out for 154 in 33.5 overs.Narayan claimed 3-24 and Ally 2-30.
