James Okello 14 and Francis Ozolibe added 14 and 12 points receptively with the later also posting a game high 14 rebounds.Oilers started strongly, taking the first quarter 19-14 and were leading by 15 points by half time with the score-board reading 40-25.It was in the third that Oilers pulled away, winning it 20-10 put ensure they go into the final 10 minutes with a healthy 25 point caution.The last quarter saw Oilers win it 20-17 en route to a comfortable 80-52 victory.Piworth Wilberforce top scored for Our Saviour with 11 points and had the duo of Davis Asimwe and Stephen Wokorach join him in double figures with 10 each.Victory for Oilers sees them maintain top spot with a 7-3 record after 10 games. For Our Saviour, they remain rooted at the foot of the table boosting a disappointing 0-9 record.Elsewhere, Joseph Ikong scored a game high 19 points as Betway Power defeated KCCA Men 82-66.Unlike last season, Power have struggled in the early stages of the regular season with the win on Sunday only their 4th of the campaign.Power won all the first three quarters before losing the fourth 17-20 but eventually sealed victory.Aside from Ikong, Power had three more players reach double figures in terms of points with Geofrey Soro posting 15, Libe Kalala 10 and captain Paul Odong 15.Soro (20) scored 15 points for Power on Sunday, May 26th.For KCCA, they also had four players in double figures as Francis Mbuyi managed 16, Andrew Gang 13, Marc Mathe 12 and Geofrey Omondi 12.The victory takes Power to a 4-4 record and they now currently occupy 7th while KCCA who 2 for 5 remain second from bottom.In the other three games played on the day, joint record league champions Falcons defeated KU Eagles 78-66, JKL Dolphins succumbed to a third loss of the season as they went down 58-71 against UCU Canons while KIU Titans registered their 7th victory of the campaign thanks to a 67-59 victory over Ndejje University.Wednesday, May 29th, NBL Fixtures-KCCA Men vs Kampala University Eagles @6:30pm-Warriors vs Sharing Youth @8:30pmComments Tags: Betway Powercity oilersDavis AsimweFalconsFrancis OzolibeJKL DolphisnKCCA MenKIU TitansLandry NdikumanaMandy JuruniNational Basketball League 2019Ndejje AngelsOur SaviourtopUCU Canonslast_img
