Jesse Lingard was the latest victim of Jose Mourinho’s sarcasm as Manchester United prepare to sign off their USA tour on a high.Lingard was giving an interview to MUTV where he was talking about practicing penalties. The issue came up because United played out a penalty shoot out against Real Madrid in their previous game where most of the players missed. Although they won the shootout 2-1 thanks to some good fortune and a brilliant David De Gea, three players missed their penalties. This is when Mourinho sneaked in behind the star and asked the interviewer what Lingard was talking about. When he was informed of the 24-year-old’s plans to practice more penalty shots, the coach took a dig at the player, saying – “Cant’s score a goal and gives an interview.”When the boss crashes your #MUTV interview @JesseLingard pic.twitter.com/DQ2TlfreWe- Manchester United (@ManUtd) July 24, 2017He then went to hug Lingard and left the player to complete his interview. While it was a funny moment for the viewers, the young and chirpy Lingard’s face fell and there were visible signs of embarrassment.Lingard scored against Real after he was set up beautifully by Anthony Martial to give United the lead against their La Liga opponents. The Europa League champions have beaten La Galaxy, Real Salt Lake and Real Madrid in their first three matches and they next face Barcelona in their tour and a win or a draw will ensure they lift the International Champions Cup.advertisementUnited will then take on Valerenga at the Ullevaal Stadium in Oslo on July 30, followed by Sampdoria in Dublin on July 2.They will next play Real Mardid in the UEFA Super Cup followed by their first league game against West Ham at Old Trafford on August 13.
