Police are hunting an elderly woman who is suspected of launching a bizarre assault on two bus passengers who were left with puncture wounds after shaking her hand.Lincolnshire Police said the incident happened on August 6 on a bus that was travelling between Skegness and Lincoln. The two male victims had spoken to the woman briefly before she shook their hands and got off the bus at Horncastle.A short time later they realised they both had small puncture wounds on their hands. One theory is that the wounds could have been needle entry marks. Both men attended hospital in order to have the wounds checked out, but were given the all clear.A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said officers were still baffled as to what had happened and were appealing for other passengers who were on board at the time to contact them in the hope they could shed some light on the situation. The spokesman said: “The problem is that we definitely know that the wounds were received but we are unclear how it happened. There was no altercation leading up to the incident but it is understood the woman did speak to the two men briefly before shaking their hands.”
