first_imgArt Bull, the art gallery and auction house, presents R.A.P.E. – Rare Acts of Political Engagement, a group show of twenty four woman artists from all over India. The show curated by noted curator and art critic JohnyML will open on 10 April at Art Bull. The idea of R.A.P.E. – Rare Acts of Political Engagement was formulated at the wake of the national outcry that followed the gang rape of a paramedic in Delhi. However, the show is not intended to deal directly with rape of a particular girl and her death. Instead I would like them to look at the whole idea of reawakening of the conscience at the face of a crisis like this. This is not a war but at the personal front it is a war of our own ideas about life in general.
