Visions’ ‘Mini Strides’ walk for Breast Cancer Survivors
ENDWELL (WBNG) — Visions Federal Credit Union and the American Cancer Society teamed up for a mini Making Strides event. Due to the pandemic, the event was restricted to only Visions employees this year. The day began with survivors leading a walk around the parking lot, which is reminiscent of the walks where thousands usually march in support of Breast Cancer awareness. But despite the smaller size and venue, organizers and survivors say they are happy to be celebrating and continuing to raise awareness of Breast Cancer.
The event also had food trucks, merchandise for sale for fundraising efforts, the inflatable pink chair, and a mobile mammogram truck that people could use to get screened. They stress the importance of getting screened and encourage everyone to do so.
